AREA FAITH COMMUNITIES

We are moving to a new time in our parish life.  In the December 2005 issue of “The Prairie Catholic” Bishop John C. Nienstedt called for the formation of all diocesan parishes into Area Faith Communities.  Our new emphasis will be to bring this call into focus as we work toward the faith community with St. Gertrude’s parish in Forest City.

In the upcoming months parish representatives will be working with members of St. Gertrude’s to identify ways that the parishes can collaborate in the areas of Word, Worship, Service and Stewardship.  We hope that you will respond when you have an opportunity to help with this process.  Please give the office a call if you would like to volunteer to work on this very important activity.  You can find more information on the internet at http://www.dnu.org/news/newspaper/dec05/index.html
