BUILDING USE POLICY

ST. JOHN'S CATHOLIC EDUCATION CENTER -- BUILDING & GROUNDS

Guidelines for use by parishioners and by non-profit, community service or educational groups

1.  No decorations, posters, charts, pictures, etc. shall be used which will damage walls or furniture. Please do not remove religious, environmental or seasonal decorations from the walls or their location.

 

2.  Smoking will not be permitted anywhere in the building.

 

3.  Alcoholic beverage consumption will not be allowed except for wine, and then it is expected that the wine will be served with food.  If wine is served, user must provide proof of Insurance coverage.

 

4.  Some restrictions may apply to uses that would be contrary to our Catholic beliefs and teachings of our church.

 

5. Damage deposits will be collected in advance.  These will be returned one week after the event if no damage has occurred.  Using parties are responsible for all damages, including any exceeding damage deposits.

 

6. Please pick up the key @ the parish house during office hours, Tues. & Wed. from 9:00am.-4:00pm. or Thurs. from 9:00am.-4:30pm.

 

7. Only colorless drinks (ex. Lemonade & Apple NOT GRAPE OR CHERRY, Etc.) should be used. Please clean up any spills on the carpet promptly & effectively.

 

8. Two people are needed to set up tables so as to eliminate the possibility of any marking on the carpeting due to dragging tables across it. Please put tables & chairs that are used back exactly as they were.

 

9. Children age 12 & under are to be supervised.  

 

10. Please lock those rooms that are not being used to help prevent the cost of additional janitorial work. The building is to be left in a neat and orderly condition.  The cost of unusual clean up will be deducted from the damage deposit.

 

11. Fee Schedules: Fees are subject to change.  Please call the rectory at 320-693-6878 or 320-275-2915 for more information.

             

12. The person signing the contract accepts responsibility for proper care of the facility.
